OUR HISTORY

The National Bulk Tanker Association is the peak national body for the bulk tanker industry and has been proudly representing our sector for over 40 years. The NBTA was formed on the 15th of September, 1983. The document below, which serves as a record of the formation of the NBTA, reads "A MEETING WAS HELD IN THE A.R.T.F. BOARD ROOM, 39-41 YORK STREET, SYDNEY, ON 15TH SEPTEMBER 1983, FOR THE PURPOSE OF FORMING, WITHIN THE AUSTRALIAN ROAD TRANSPORT FEDERATION, A NATIONAL TANKER TRANSPORT ASSOCIATION", later to be known as the National Bulk Tanker Association.
