Emergency Response for Dangerous Goods 2010

The Bulk Tanker Emergency Response conference was held on the 20th October in Melbourne. Jointly hosted by the National Bulk Tanker Association (NBTA) and the Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council (AFAC), the conference focused on sharing lessons and improving outcomes for emergency response. It was attended by 150 industry experts from across Australia. The presentations made during this day can be downloaded from this page.

A summary report is now available that covers the main issues raised and recommendations from the speakers. This list will be used by NBTA to frame its on-going work program and in furthering discussions with emergency response authorities and agencies.

The next Emergency Response Conference will be held on the 8th September 2011 in Melbourne as part of Freight Week
